Sacrament of Reconciliation Saturday 5.15 p.m. to 5.45 p.m. or by arrangement. Letter of support for the proposed car park at St. Boniface Church: An application has been prepared for the formation of a car park for St. Boniface Church, this will make parking so much easier for everyone attending services and events at our church. In order to support this application could you please sign the sheet which is available on the chairs next to both entrances if you are in favour of the proposed car park? Diocesan St. Boniface Medal for parishioners: Patrick Morris, Monica Soby, Margaret Haxton and Christine Cleverdon will be honoured with the St. Boniface medal by our Bishop Mark O’Toole at a Mass at the cathedral on Saturday 12th November at 11am, in recognition of their outstanding service in our parish. Honouring long serving parishioners: Norma Hynes, Joan Childs, Alice Wells and Cecil Cole have been long serving parishioners for many years and we would like to recognise their contribution to the parish with a special mass at St. Boniface Okehampton followed by a celebration and barbeque on Sunday 11th September 2016. New rotas: Are available in the porch for Readers and Ministers. P.P.C.: Please read the poster on the notice board in the porch for nominations for representatives on the P.P.C. from the C.W.L. Ministers & Readers and the choir. Nomination papers are available for each group in the porch, return by Sept 4th. The Guild of St. Boniface: Collections are now being made by Joan Millett and Harriet Bristow.
Lost Property: In order to keep our Church tidy we will only keep any items left behind in the church for 4 weeks, we will then send the items to a charity shop, please look around the porch area if you have mislaid anything.
New Parish Census Forms: are available in the porch please take one and complete returning them by August 14th to the box in the entrance porch.
Children’s Liturgy at St. Boniface 11am Mass: If you a parent, or would be willing to help and assist with the children’s liturgy could you please have a word with Father Darline to express your interest. At present Patrick Morris, who is doing a sterling job, is managing this on his own, both he and Father Darline are keen to see the liturgy session continued and developed. There will be more information regarding this after the summer break in September.
The School of the Annunciation at Buckfast Abbey, Devon, offers a variety of courses in adult formation, including four-day summer courses. How can art open hearts to the love of Jesus?
